The foundation of our evolution

Our precursor, Montessori School, was founded in 1992, with the opening of our first centre, Montessori School El Enebral and Los Fresnos-Mataespesa, in Collado Villalba. It was the first British private school incorporating the Montessori method in the Northwest Sierra of Madrid and which now includes the site of the School of Dance, Theatre and Music, which is the Official Conservatory as of this year.

Since that beginning, two more centres have opened in Alpedrete: Montessori School Los Fresnos and Montessori School Mataespesa, the latter being our secondary school. All of our centres offer a beautiful campus and a highly motivated faculty, who work to provide an innovative learning experience for our students.

Currently, our three centres are still the only schools in the Northwest Sierra of Madrid that offer the British National Curriculum and the Montessori method, and we are now raising the educational bar even higher to offer superior quality as British Montessori.
