30 years developing outstanding students

Since 1993 we have seen our students grow, graduate from our school and then have great successes in universities and in their professional and personal lives. Furthermore, our former students have not hesitated to choose our school for their own children.

British Curriculum

In all stages from Infants to Sixth Form we follow the British curriculum, with the addition of Spanish Language and culture.

This programme guarantees complete fluency in English and a style of learning that promotes practical skills along with the ability to think independently and solve problems.

We complement our academic programme with personal education which develops qualities such as resilience, tolerance and collaboration, self-esteem and leadership skills.

Prestigious international qualifications

Our students complete their education with IGCSE and ‘A’ level qualifications, awarded by Cambridge and by Pearson Edexcel. These qualifications give Access to higher education in the Uk, Spain and most other countries around the worlds. Our students have been able to access universities that are in the top ten of the world rankings, such as Cambridge and Imperial College.

Montessori method and philosophy

Our pupils start their educational journey with Montessori methods in the infants’ section. This style of learning creates Independence, confidence when faced with new challenges and depth of understanding of key concepts. We retain the influence of Montessori in the way that we teach throughout the stages that follow; primary, secondary and sixth form, applying this within our British curriculum.

Our educational programme has flexible targets and therefore can be adapted to the needs of each pupil. This is an absolute priority in our school. If a pupil has difficulties we work from their current level of understanding and if a pupil has outstanding capability, we give them the opportunity to reach their own limits.

Our school’s official recognition

British Montessori is a British school in Spain, fully authorised by the Comunidad de Madrid, which means our programme of studies is considered fully equivalent to the national education system in Spain.

The school is a member of NABSS (National Association of British Schools in Spain) and is subject to the quality controls required for British schools by the British Council in Spain. The school is also fully recognised as an examination centre for Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel.
